(1999, Polyvinyl)

Is this the greatest album of the emo era? Quite possibly. Balancing the easy swagger of indie math-rock with the wistful yearning of the emocore scene up to that point, what comes out the other end is an album of almost painful longing amidst tender meandering guitar lines.

It is, it’s fair to say, an absolute masterpiece.
