The album that launched Kravitz from a moderately successful soul-tinged rock singer to stratospheric moderate rock god via the success of its earworm title track, this is still an absolutely storming album from start to finish. Yes, Kravitz dealt mainly in homage, but he did so with bucketsful of charm and swagger.
