Fans from different eras of Soundgarden can argue the merits of their various favourites, but this is, to me, the high-point of their output. The perfect blend of the raw punk power of their earlier material, bludgeoning Zeppelin-on-steroids riffs, and pop hooks. That, and Cornell’s voice, which has never been on more paint-stripping form.
